Uigeadail Gaelic for "dark and mysterious place" and this is the name of the lake (loch) from which the water used by Ardbeg, a mystical and primal place. The Ardbeg Uigeadail is a distillate with deep smoky notes and tones of grapes passes, a mixture of different types of Ardbeg finished in barrels ex-sherry. It is not cold filtered to maintain its unique flavor, derived from the finish, and greater depth. Rich and heavy with inebriating aromas, the nose is peaty, spicy with notes of cedar and fresh pine needles, earth and cereals, you can almost smell the moors.
