Recognized by experts as an extraordinary Whisky, Ardbeg Ten Years Old is distinguished as the most delicate and structured Islay Malt Whisky. The Ardbeg Ten Years Old is one of the most popular whisky in the world, its kind of peaty and smoking make it one of the most complex single malt in circulation. Despite this the peat flavor is not very ostentatious, indeed its flavor on the palate is naturally sweet, a whisky with a perfect balance. Most of whisky is filtered cold (chill-filtered) to reduce the alcohol content to 40% vol. Ardbeg Ten Years Old, however, does not use the cold filtration and in fact has a higher alcohol content (46% vol.), Thus preserving its best flavor while adding body and greater depth. Very peaty but with notes of vanilla and citrus, with the addition of water comes out strong oceanic mineral and salty notes of lime and beeswax. In the mouth is an explosion of peat, the hallmark dell'Ardbeg, then the sweet vanilla that is balanced by the lime, black pepper and cinnamon. The finish is long, lingering and smoked with aniseed notes, toasted almonds and traces of barley and fresh pear.
