White still dry wine with slight residual sugar, comes from the aromatic Malvasia di Candia for centuries cultivated on the hills of Piacenza to give a sparkling wine and light. Sorriso di Cielo was created in 1991 by the desire to produce a still wine from this grape , not only aromatic and pleasant, but also structured, complex and long-lived , what ever undertaken by anyone before. The years after '91 have confirmed the potential of this grape, really one of the best white grapes native of our country and the real alternative to the Italian Gewürztraminer.
Grapes: 100 % Malvasia di Candia aromatica , one of about 16 named varieties Malvasia exist in Italy , which is grown in the provinces of Piacenza ( mainly ), Parma and Pavia.
Vineyards: 75 % Ronco vineyard and small parcels of vines Morello and Smile 25%
Soil: clay, silt-like soil (ancient red earth), not very fertil.
Altitude: 180-210 meters s.l.m.

Colour: intense and thick golden yellow.
Bouquet: intense and complex to the nose rich, wide, enveloping and fascinating citrus notes of bergamot and orange, floral, spicy and fruity as orange blossom, freesia, yellow peach, melon, aromatic herbs.
Taste: this complexity is confirmed on the palate in a harmonic impact of great balance between sugars, acidity and freshness. Wide and deep, of great persistence.
