This Cru has its roots in 1996, when Elisabetta decides to buy the vineyard "Poggio Valente" near Pereta. The project is once again focused on Sangiovese, which has been the protagonist since the 2014 vintage.
Production area: Poggio Valente vineyard (Pereta, Magliano in Toscana)
Grapes: 100% Sangiovese
Soil: extremely hilly, with a layer of sand rich in sand, under a sandstone layer, the latter gives balance and a silky texture to tannins.

Vinification and ageing: fermentation at a temperature of 26 ° C in stainless steel. Maceration time: 25 days. Maturation for 18 months in tonneaux of 500 and 600 l. and a further aging in bottle for 4 months.

Colour: intense ruby red
Bouquet: rich and immediately fruity of blackberry and sour cherry that evolves successively on hints of violets, currants and cherries in spirit and then opens up to balsamic notes of licorice, tobacco, dark chocolate and nutmeg. Fresh and balsamic notes already prepare for a mouth of great persistence.
Taste: elegant and structured, rich in extract and juicy, it is characterized by a complex and enveloping tannins. Very long, it ends with a nice finish of red fruit in jam and chinotto.
Total acidity: 5.5 g / L
