Mùl was born from the desire to revive a Friulian tradition: the mule is the son of a stallion donkey and a mare, a perfect hybrid for the Alpini and for working the fields, and it is perhaps from this that the elderly have borrowed the same name to define the assembly that contained both white and red wine, the Mùl precisely. This led the winemaker to the idea of combining a white and a red wine, just like when at the inn the grandparents ordered a "mùl", a glass with one part of red wine and one part of white wine. The labels of these "wrong"wines were designed by a young Friulan artist, and they symbolise the main vines from which they were obtained, with the inclusion of an owl as lucky charm. In Pink Mùl the owl is depicted in a snowy landscape that transmits freshness and stillness.

Production area: plains and hills close to Cividale del Friuli (NE Italy)
Grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon
Training system: Guyot and Friuli single inverted
Vinification and ageing: after harvesting the grapes are processed separately. The Sauvignon is gently pressed to obtain the must followed by
a cold static decantation. Fermentation and aging take place “sur lies” in glass-lined cement tanks under controlled temperature. Differently, the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes after a cold maceration are gently crushed.
The must thus obtained is left to ferment and let to rest in 500 litre oak barrels. After blending them together, the wine is bottled and released after one year and a half after the harvest.
Colour: light cherry pink.
Bouquet: the fresh and fruity bouquet shows notes of red fruits, raspberries and cherries.
Taste: on the palate, it confirms the freshness and tasty character, a wine of great drinkability.
