In South Tyrol, Gewurztraminer grapes are grown on a total area of 572 hectares, second in size only to Pinot Grigio. Its name comes from wine village of Termeno, where this wine is already documented in the 11th century. Gewurztraminer (or ) is one of the oldest grape varieties among those cultivated and, in the same time, it is one of the most popular South Tyrolean wines.
The Praedium range refers to the Roman Praedium, estate and vineyard cultivated by the same family for generations. The grapes for each wine of this range are sourced from outstanding vineyards. The careful winemaking and the expert aging process enhance the bouquet and body, producing unique characterful wines.
Perelise is a deep and complex flavours wine, beautiful and noble balance between strength and finesse. Rich aromas of ripe apricots, lychee and passion fruit.
Grapes: 100% Gewurztraminer
Soil: gravelly, sandy and rich in mineral soil with calcium carbonate deposits.
Altitude: selected vineyards at altitudes of 450-550 metres a.s.l.
Yielding: 52 hl/ha
Vinification and ageing: after a short maceration in the press, the grapes are gently pressed. The fermentation and the maturing are carried out in stainless steel tanks.
Colour: bright lemon yellow.
Bouquet: rich flavours of cinnamon and vanilla. Aroma of rose petals, fruity notes of ripe apricots and lychee.
Taste: a powerful body with surprising finesse and elegance at the palate.
