I "Classici" of Cantina LaVis form a representative selection of typical Trentino wines, a true expression of the link between vineyard, terrain and people - a perfect synthesis of man and environment in a union of labour, passion and expertise. The “Quality Project” and “Zoning”, which guarantee “the right vine in the right place”, exploit the characteristics of the terrain to ensure that the right conditions for producing wines of unchallenged quality are present from the outset. Our growers cultivate the land and the vines in small individual plots. They know its history, needs and potential, enabling the vine to express its full potential. Traditional winemaking skills are then employed to create wines of rich and vibrant personalities, offering subtlety and elegance at a peak of perfection.
The unique white Nosiola grape is native to Trentino and finds its true home on the hillsides of Pressano and the Cembra Valley. In its historic production area on the marl-rich soils of Pressano, Nosiola develops a unique aroma and structure.
Soil: partly silty, fertile and moderately deep, and partly porphyritic, loose and fairly shallow
Exposure: south, south-west
Altitude: 400 m ASL
Training system: simple Trentino pergola
Planting density: 4.500 vines/hectare
Harvest: manual harvesting in early October.
Vinification and ageing: soft pressing in an inert environment, static decantation of the must, fermentation at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks, ageing on the lees for approximately 5/6 months before bottling.
Colour: pale yellow in colour with pastel green tints.
Bouquet: floral suggestions of rose petals, lychee and jasmine, with a curious note of hazelnut.
Taste: it is full and persistent on the palate, with just the right acidity.
