Marzemino grape occupies, for its excellent quality, a prominent place in the wine-growing landscape of Trentino. The origins of the vine are lost forever. It is possible that the variety comes from Marzemin, a village in Carinthia. Marzemino has spread especially in areas located on the right bank of the Adige river and, more specifically, in those hilly ranging from Nomi, Pomarolo, Isera, Mori. In Vallagarina it finds the ideal soil and climatic conditions that give the unmistakable characteristics. To differentiate it from other similar products is called "Marzemino Gentile". The moniker "gentle" Marzemino Trentino wine is justified by an incomparable finesse of the product. The grapes of the Terre del Föhn wines come from the vineyards of the Val di Cembra and from the hills Lavis and Trento, as well as those of Mezzocorona, Volano and Isera, extremely suitable areas for growing grapes. A microclimate which benefits just the Föhn, which not coincidentally gives its name to the line of the company, a hot, dry wind blowing in these lands allows, throughout the year, to mitigate the cold mountain climate, allowing excellent day-night temperature changes, favorable to the creation of terpenes in the grape skin, makers of wine aromas.
