This excellent wine is produced exclusively from the Turbiana grapes, that grow in the narrow strip of land on the shore of Garda Lake. After a very soft crushing, and thermo-controlled vinification, we obtain this elegant wine.
Production area: reaches out towards the southern bank of Lake Garda, in the towns of Peschiera del Garda, Sirmione, Desenzano del Garda, Pozzolengo and Lonato.
Grapes: 100% Turbiana
Soil and climate: the soil of this area was originated from the sediment transport action of the Garda glacier and is characterised by a compact, chalky and marly clay stratification. A clayvey territory with high salinity levels due to mineral sedimentations, as well as the mild microclimat of lake, allow a quality wine production. Lake Garda, sheltered from the surrounding mountains, benefits from a mild and favourable climat that allows a greater temperature range enhancing the scents of a territory with a viticulture vocation.
Training system: Guyot, double but short modified.
Plant-density: 3.500 vines per hectare.
Yield: production of 10 tons of grape per hectare
Harvest: starting at mid-September, handmade, putting the grapes in small boxes.
Vinification and ageing: in stainless steel containers, under temperature control, 16° C. Ageing at least, 1 month in bottle.
Colour: pale straw-yellow colour, with green reflections.
Bouquet: characteristic balanced bouquet is pleasant and fresh, with flower sensations.
Taste: it is attractively fruity, with apple and peach hints characterized, at the end, by a trace of bitter almonds.
Acidity level: 5,80 g/l
