Obtained 100% from Malvasia grape (Istrian), one of the typical and native vines of the Collio and of the whole area of Friuli and Venezia Giulia. This variety, present in Istria since the Middle Ages, is one of the many Malvasias - white and red - that exist in the Mediterranean. The Vertovc, in 1850, recalls the Malvashija del Collio and the one that was produced at Gradiscutta! In 1868 the Agricultural Society of Gorizia organized an event at the end of which various wines were served, including a white Malvasia from 1867 from the hills of Farra. Twenty years later, from the wine exhibition organized in Trieste, three wineries from the Gorizia area also participated with Malvasia wines. In 1933 in Collio it was one of the prized varieties that were becoming more and more popular.
