From an extreme vineyard, both for the density of the plant and for the stony ground, this Syrah is born in purity in the heart of the winery in Riparbella, on the hill in front of the Mediterranean Sea on that vineyard planted with sapling system where the component of stones becomes preponderant. Fermented and aged in barrique. "The expressiveness of the vine is phenomenal: plums, blueberries, spices, liquorice, smoky tones, leather, mysterious and gives a pyrotechnic end."

Harvest: finished by the middle of September. The grapes are selected in the vineyard and collected manually in small boxes. They are gently de-stemmed to obtain whole berries and further selected by hand on the sorting table.
Vinification and ageing: fermentation is spontaneous in barriques and tonneaux with manual pressing and attention to temperature control. It is left in maceration on the skins for 25 days, drained and decanted in the same barriques used for fermentation. Aging is 18 months in French oak barrels and 300 lt. Tonneaux, 90% of new wood and 10% of first passage. It does not undergo clarification or filtration. Aged in bottle for 8 months.
Colour: dark red ink with purple reflections
Bouquet: floral opening with hints of violet and wisteria, which slowly declines towards fresh fruity shades of blackberry, plum and blackberry. Following a spicy fan of black pepper, mace, juniper berries and cumin, with a closure on menthol notes, liquorice and smoked.
Taste: full-bodied and soft, but also surprisingly delicious, exalted by energetic tannins that prolong the taste of persistent balsamic notes.
