Michel Furdyna had the foresight to preserve the old vintages, the Vieux Millésimes, of Brut and Brut Prestige and this makes it possible to taste today some bottles, refined in the cellar, dating back to old and prestigious vintages of the past. It is not a question of the recent "dégorgements" of old "masses", but of the Champagne which had been disgorged in the following years and had never moved, since then stored in the cold basement of the cellar; the evolution of wine therefore started several years ago. The malolactic fermentation was completely carried out, the grapes were 70% of Pinot Noir and 30% of Chardonnay, the dosages rather low; and this was the "recipe" from Furdyna up to the Vintage 2000 included (to follow 50% -50%).

Vintage 1990

The 1990, the richest vintage in 1989 and 1988, has created a wine with a detonating olfactory power, incredibly intact, with some exotic touch that also returns in retro-olfactory after a great fulfillment: a classic and complete expression, wonderfully evolved. Without a doubt one of the best vintages of the century, thrilling; a cold winter and a water stress in the summer allowed to reach a perfectly healthy harvest with excellent ripening. From this the production in Champagne of very balanced wines characterized by complexity, freshness and impetuosity of the taste-olfactory baggage, never shy, but unassailable, stainless and "perfect". Both 1989 and 1990 present the same blending and were obtained from the same protocol of 1988.
