Quintodecimo arises from the business project by Laura Di Marzio and Luigi Moio, when "The Wine Professor" decides to make wine and, with passion and competence, realizes what for years has built dispensing his knowledge. Quintodecimo Winery is located in the mountainous internal area of Campania: Irpinia. A beautiful area where climate, soil and grape varieties cohabit an extraordinary balance, creating natural conditions ideal to produce wines of great quality. A hill on a rise in Mirabella Eclano, in the heart of the distribution of the Taurasi DOCG, to Northeast of Naples, on the crest of a small hill facing north / west, 460 meters above sea level. The winery was baptized with the Sunni toponym of town, Quintum decimun, because exactly distant 15 miles from the ancient Duchy of Benevento to which had been attached to the ancient Roman settlement of Aeclanum in 663, in honor of the ancient history of Mirabella Eclano. In Quintodecimo Winery is adopted a viticulture highly respectful of soil, microclimate, plant and the biodiversity of the place, a biological precision farming without the use of harmful products to plant, man, environment and without employment of herbicides and fertilizers. Cultivated and vinified grapes are Falanghina, Fiano, Greco, with which they produce three white wines, vinified in purity, three single vineyards located in the areas of each "cultivar" election, respectively called: Exultet, Yellow D'Arles Via Del Campo; three "cru" in single variety, very influenced from vintage in the expression of their varietal character. With Aglianico they produces three red wines , each attributable to the vineyard that has generated the wine, as the highest expression of the concept of "terroir".
