The farm Lis Neris is located in San Lorenzo Isonzo (GO) in the DOC area Friuli Isonzo.
Lis Neris is in the heart of the most renowned wine-growing area of Friuli, in the municipality of San Lorenzo, between the Slovenian border on the north and the right bank of the river Isonzo on the south. Over 60 hectares of vineyards are planted in the most beautiful part of a small plateau deep gravel carried downstream by the waters of melting glaciers in the Eastern Alps. The proximity to the sea favors a typically mediterranean climate, characterized by diurnal temperature variations that help slow ageing, with the result of giving the grapes more solid and better balanced with aromas and tastes richer. In San Lorenzo, the fresher area, are concentrated most of the vineyards in the white variety, while in the towns of Corona and Romans, warmer areas located west of the old company, are mainly the red varieties.
A few hundred meters from the vineyards, in the center of the village of San Lorenzo, is located, modern and essential, the cellar, the heart of Lis Neris. This, like the roots of the vine grows naturally in the underground "prolonging" so the benefits in the production process, in full respect of the raw material and its evolutionary rates. Advanced techniques and age-old traditions exalt the aromas and flavors of the area where the vineyard and the winery are rooted harmoniously.
