Montgueux is a small island in the middle of a grain flat at 5 km from Troyes. Currently it consists of 190 hectares dominated by Chardonnay (85%) arranged on one side facing southeast, which reaches 270 meters above sea level. Good soil drainage is also guaranteed by the average slope of around 13%. Jean Velut is an old winemaker, but seriously, prepared, with few frills. His champagnes reflect this way of being, inclined to substance rather than form.
