The more traditional Vallée de La Marne. Located on the right bank of the river, where Champagne is still producing as it once was: Pinot Meunier is king, with those fruity and fresh tones in a classic style and pleasantly easy. Jacky Charpentier has long been recognized (he was president of the General Union of winemakers of the Champagne) as a standard bearer of the Pinot Meunier, a grape that characterizes all the cuvée. In the 50s he decided to take the "solo career", after decades that the family devoted to viticulture gave the harvest to great Maisons. Currently Jean-Marc, son of Jacky, took the head of the company even if the father is always in the back to make his valuable experience. The responsibilities in the Union offices there also for Jean-Marc: in retracing his father's footsteps does not leave anything to fortuity. The style does not stand for refinement, but the thoroughness that is dedicated to the vineyard and wine-making, together with prolonged refinement on the lees, determines an absolute regularity of the wide range of products. Dosages post-disgorgement sugar are almost always minimal, which contributes to the best wine-definition.
