For the past three generations the family Carlotto is dedicated the wine sector with commitment and passion. Umberto Carlotto began working in 1940 as sharecroppers in the Schloβhof Winery in Mazzon, at Castel Caldif, where for 50 years he cultivated the vineyards with his brother and his son Ferruccio. In 2000 Ferruccio Carlotto and her daughter Michela start making wine from the grapes grown on their own, in compliance with the best practices of rural and cellar passed down over the years, in order to maintain the characteristics of the wine in the place of origin. The winery's philosophy is to cultivate the right variety in the right place and three types of grapes are vinified: Pinot Noir, Lagrein and Schiava. Filari di Mazzon is a Pinot Noir grown on the hill of Mazzon, the country on the left of the valley, at the feet of the Natural Park "Monte Corno" and cradle of this vine so delicate.
