Bodega La Geria

In the surroundings of the Natural Area of La Geria, with an area of 5,225 hectares and very close to the Timanfaya National Park, we find a landscape covered with a spectacular black cloak of volcanic ash, where we can admire the beauty of an inhospitable landscape after of the last volcanic eruption (1730 - 1736) and adapted in time by the hand of man, following his instinct of subsistence and adaptation to the environment that surrounded him.

The winery was built at the end of the 19th century by the Rijo family. In 1993 it was acquired by its current owners, the Melián family, who have combined the oldest traditions of winemaking with the most advanced winemaking technology.

Currently, Bodega La Geria, is the most visited in Spain, with an average of 300,000 visits per year.
