Barbanera winery is located in Tuscany, at the foot of Mount Cetona and near the medieval villages of Cetona and San Casciano dei Bagni that are only a few kilometers from home. Tradition is strong and is well rooted in these areas from the past century of history, a distinctive and unique that the winery has tried to grow and to better integrate into the production philosophy that has evolved from year to year, in an attempt to integrate tradition with innovation creating a unique style. This prompted the company to cross borders in search of regional products can enhance and present with their personal stamp, a journey that started in 2010 and not far, crossing Italy landed in the  warm and sunny lands of South, identified with Sicily and Puglia, of which it was selected only the best fruit that they could be proud of banners for the same territory. It was the prestigious Annuario  of the Best Italian Wines 2012 by Luca Maroni to crown for the first time the Toscana Rosso IGT "Vecciano 2008" Best Red Wine of Italy. A result equaled in 2014 on the year 2011 which has touched excellence in the context of German Berlin Wine Trophy with the achievement of the Great Gold Medal.

Barbanera Wines divides production in two lines.

Duca di Saragnano - Saragnano is a town in southern Italy in the municipality of Baronissi, located in the province of Salerno, founded around the tenth century. D.C. One of the descendants who inherited the noble title of Lord of Saragnano forced to flee by the Saracens, years ago, became a great friend of Luigi Barbanera. In his honor, and thanks to his courtesy, the line of wines representative of the brand's flagship took on this name.

Barbanera - Concept of "family" is one of the cornerstone which underpins the winery's activities. It is 2008 the year in which it is born the brand that bears the family name, as a symbol of the values which it embodies and glue that pushes the company to proceed more towards the same direction.
