| Born in 1989, takes its name from the small stream "Sossò" that lies at the foot of the hill where the grapes grow. Result of a careful selection of Merlot and Refosco dal peduncle Red - with a little of Pignolo - produced from the oldest vineyards of Rosazzo, is the result of a meticulous vinification and aging in small barrels which lasts for eighteen months. A wine of great complexity and structure, is characterized by elegant tannins, ripe, fruity and sweet. Harvest: Merlot: the end of September; Refosco from Red Stalk and Pignolo: early October Collection Mode: Manual in small boxes Vinification: The grapes are carefully destemmed and crushed. The fermentation takes place with maceration at controlled temperatures in stainless steel containers and vats conical. Frequent replacements are performed for a period of about three weeks, in order to extract color and aromas from the skins. Wine is then racked. Ageing: The wines are blended and racked into small French oak barrels where they mature for about eighteen months. The bottled wine is aged in temperature-controlled rooms for at least a further twelve months. Sensory: Colour: Intense ruby red Nose: large, elegant, very complex, with notes mature ripe fruit, cherry, currant, blackberry, raspberry and blueberry, mingling with intense notes of spice and minerals. Taste: structured, fresh, smooth, tightly woven tannins, balanced acidity in the density of the wine; long, lingering, mineral, balsamic, fruity. Trascina tenendo premuto MAIUSC per riordinare.
